Sarawak to Host PATA Travel Mart 2026
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is pleased to announce that PATA Travel Mart 2026 (PTM 2026) will take place in Sarawak, Malaysia at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) from August 18 - 20, 2026. The event, generously endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts of Sarawak, hosted by the Sarawak Tourism Board, and supported by the Business Events Sarawak, marks the first time the Association’s signature travel trade exhibition is set to take place in the destination.
Gyeongju and Pohang to Make History as First Dual-City Hosts for PATA Annual Summit 2026
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is pleased to announce that the PATA Annual Summit 2026 (PAS 2026) will be co-hosted in the cities of Gyeongju and Pohang, located in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Korea (ROK), in coordination with the Gyeongsangbuk-do Culture and Tourism Organization (GCTO) and scheduled to be held from May 11-13. The official handover was made on April 23 during the closing ceremony of the PATA Annual Summit 2025 (PAS 2025) in İstanbul, Türkiye, symbolising the continued momentum and legacy of the Association’s flagship event.
Breaking Travel News and Pacific Asia Travel Association announce new media partnership
Breaking Travel News (BTN) has announced a new media partnership with the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), strengthening collaboration between two influential voices in the global travel and tourism sector. Under the agreement, Breaking Travel News will serve as a supporting media partner for two of the association’s flagship events in 2026: the PATA Annual Summit (PAS 2026) taking place from 11–13 May in Gyeongju City and Pohang City, Republic of Korea, and PATA Travel Mart (PTM 2026) from 18–20 August in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

PATA Predicts Strong Annual Increase in Inbound Visitors to Asia Pacific in 2023
The latest forecasts from the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) predict strong annual increases in inbound visitor numbers for Asia Pacific under each of the mild, medium, and severe scenarios in 2023, with growth rates ranging from 71% under the latter scenario conditions to as much as 104% under the mild scenario.
