Breaking Travel News and Pacific Asia Travel Association announce new media partnership
Breaking Travel News (BTN) has announced a new media partnership with the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), strengthening collaboration between two influential voices in the global travel and tourism sector.
Under the agreement, Breaking Travel News will serve as a supporting media partner for two of the association’s flagship events in 2026: the PATA Annual Summit (PAS 2026) taking place from 11–13 May in Gyeongju City and Pohang City, Republic of Korea, and PATA Travel Mart (PTM 2026) from 18–20 August in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
Through the partnership, Breaking Travel News will provide global editorial coverage, digital promotion, and multimedia distribution for both events. Activities will include feature articles before, during, and after the events, promotional placements across the Breaking Travel News website and newsletters, and dedicated branded video playlists highlighting host destinations and industry leaders. Social media distribution will further amplify coverage to BTN’s global audience of travel industry professionals.
In return, PATA will recognise Breaking Travel News as an official supporting media partner across its digital platforms and event marketing materials, including branding across event webpages, marketing collateral, and on-site media backdrops at both PAS 2026 and PTM 2026.
Beyond the two events, the partnership will extend into an ongoing editorial collaboration focused on thought leadership and industry insight. Breaking Travel News will work with PATA to highlight perspectives from its members, share analysis on emerging tourism trends across the Asia Pacific region, and amplify conversations around innovation, sustainability, and destination development throughout the year.
Paul Pruangkarn, Director of Marketing and Communications at PATA, said:
“PATA is pleased to collaborate with Breaking Travel News as a supporting media partner for our flagship events in 2026. Their global reach and respected editorial voice within the travel trade will help amplify the conversations and partnerships that emerge from both the PATA Annual Summit and PATA Travel Mart. Together, we look forward to showcasing the innovation, resilience, and opportunities shaping tourism across the Asia Pacific region.”
Justin Cooke, Editor-in-Chief of Breaking Travel News, added:
“The Asia Pacific region continues to lead the world in tourism growth, innovation, and cultural influence. Our partnership with PATA will allow us to bring deeper storytelling and industry insight from two of the most important gatherings in the regional tourism calendar. Importantly, this collaboration also extends beyond the events themselves, creating a platform for ongoing thought leadership and dialogue with PATA members and the wider industry throughout the year.”
The collaboration reinforces Breaking Travel News’ commitment to covering the most important developments in global tourism and supporting industry initiatives that foster dialogue, investment, and sustainable growth across the Asia Pacific region.
