Weak Krone hinders growth at Norwegian
Low-cost carrier Norwegian has reported strong growth in all European markets in its third quarter results, with a capacity increase of 36 per cent and a load factor of 85 per cent. However, pre-tax profit stood at MNOK505, compared to MNOK604 the same quarter previous year. The costs associated with wet-leasing replacement aircraft and a weak Norwegian Krone significantly affected the figures.
Record passenger numbers for Norwegian
Low-cost carrier Norwegian has carried more than 2.2 million passengers in September 2014, an increase of 16 per cent compared to the same month previous year. The load factor was 81.4 per cent, up 3.1 percentage points.

Low-cost carrier Norwegian carried approximately 2.5 million passengers in July 2014, an increase of 17 per cent compared to the same month previous year. This is the highest number of passengers Norwegian has carried in a single month. The load factor was 88.2 per cent.
Norwegian to fly direct low-cost flights to Bangkok
Norwegian is launching a new route between Copenhagen and Bangkok. The new direct route, which launches on October 30th, will operate twice a week. Norwegian already offers direct routes between Bangkok and Oslo and Stockholm.

The load factor at the low-cost airline was 82.5 per cent. up 2.9 percentage points. The total passenger traffic increased by 45 per cent, while the capacity increased by 39 per cent this month.
