New resort brand, Atmosphere, will launch the first of its Indian Ocean properties, Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives, in the popular tropical archipelago this November. Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives is the brand’s first venture and will be the newest resort on Kanifushi Island, located in the remarkable and remote Lhaviyani Atoll.
Outrigger acquires Mauritius beachfront property
Hawaii-based Outrigger Hotels and Resorts announced today that it has purchased from Dubai-based Kingdom Hotel Investments the 181-key Movenpick Resort and Spa Mauritius in the island nation of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean from Dubai-based Kingdom Hotel Investments. The transaction closed on May 29, 2013, for an undisclosed amount.
