SITA and Orange Business Services sign global 2G/3G connectivity agreements
SITA today announced that it has become the world’s first global mobile data services provider dedicated to the air transport industry. Through a partnership agreement with Orange Business Services, the air transport communications specialist is providing global data connectivity to airlines enabling the secure use of mobile data, machine-to-machine (M2M) and application to person (A2P) technologies worldwide.
US visitors to EU warned over roaming costs
The EU is accused of leaving US visitors to Britain at the mercy of profit hungry mobile phone operators, which hit them with hefty five-figure mobile phone bills. According to industry specialists Tep, mobile phone operators charge US travellers to the UK up to £11.70 per MB in roaming charges, making them a tidy 1800 per cent profit on data.
