The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA)  is publicly releasing new information to shed more light on how the pandemic impacted the association meetings industry in 2021.

After presentations from the three shortlisted destinations, Gdansk in Poland, the Czech Republic capital of Prague and Russian city St. Petersburg, ICCA President Arnaldo Nardone on behalf of the ICCA Board of Directors announced the winning destination at the ICCA Mid-Year meetings at IMEX.

fter presentations from the two shortlisted destinations, Kuching in Sarawak, Malaysia, and the Czech Republic capital Prague, ICCA President Arnaldo Nardone on behalf of the ICCA Board of Directors today announced at the mid-year ICCA meeting held alongside IMEX, that the successful bidder for the 2016 ICCA Congress is Kuching, Malaysia.

Francesca Manzani, Board Member of the International Congress & Convention Association ICCA, the main congress association at international lever representing the entire sector from PCO’s to convention centers, convention bureaux and airlines, welcomed in Italy the President of ICCA, Arnaldo Nardone from Uruguay and her ICCA Board Member colleagues coming from Denmark, South Africa, spain and the Netherlands.

China – IT&CM China 2012 keynote session, “China’s Century: Fulfilling its Destiny as a Mega Meetings Destination,” delivered by ICCA CEO Mr. Martin Sirk, enjoyed a huge turnout. Drawing on his 20 years of industry experience, Mr. Sirk spoke about the growing importance of international meetings in the world, and specifically in China.

Prague was presented as a unique congress destination at the jubilee 50th Congress of ICCA in Leipzig, Germany, which is a prestigious meeting of the members of the international association ICCA (International Congress & Convention Association) regularly attended by 900 to 1000 professionals from more than 86 countries of the world.
