Seychelles tourism industry moves on Hong Kong in their marketing drive

The Consulate of the Republic of Seychelles in Hong Kong&Macau and Mr. Philippe Le Gall, the Seychelles Ambassador based in the Republic in China, have joined together to organize a tourism industry seminar in Hong Kong and has invited the Seychelles Tourism Board along with representatives from the travel and tourism sector of Seychelles to endeavor to join them and help develop future business from Hong Kong and Macau.

Airports Council International has said it supports Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) building a third runway in Hong Kong to cope with the tremendous traffic growth in the region. According to ACI Traffic Forecast for 2009 - 2029, global passenger traffic will reach 11 billion in 2029 and passenger traffic will grow by 4.1 per cent per annum over the next 20 years.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board announced that visitor arrivals to Hong Kong reached 30,423,421 in the first three quarters of 2011, 16.2% higher when compared to the same period last year. In September alone, arrivals climbed up by 16.8% year-on-year to 3,187,091.
