Genting Hong Kong has unveiled its plans to target Asia’s premium cruise market with the introduction of Dream Cruises, the first-ever Asian based premium brand. Aboard Star Cruises’ highly-acclaimed SuperStar Virgo, Genting chairman Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay announced the launch of Dream Cruises with the building and delivery of two new ships that will attract and cater specifically to Asia’s premium sector.
Qantas Group has said it will work with its fellow shareholders in Jetstar Hong Kong to review the enterprise, following the Air Transport Licensing Authority’s decision to reject the local carrier’s application to establish an operation in Hong Kong. Jetstar Hong Kong – a joint venture between Shun Tak Holdings, China Eastern Airlines and the Qantas Group – was announced in March 2012.

Airports Council International has said it supports Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) building a third runway in Hong Kong to cope with the tremendous traffic growth in the region.
