Global hotel company InterContinental Hotels Group is opening of the Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia NE – Bensalem following extensive renovations. Features of the new property are in line with the $1 billion Holiday Inn global brand relaunch.

InterContinental Hotels Group has announced its Holiday Inn brand is marking another innovative first by becoming the first major hotel brand to launch a travel app for Windows 8 – the newest version of the Windows operating platform for a variety of PCs and tablet devices. Holiday Inn is the world’s largest upper mid-scale hotel brand by number of rooms.

The Holiday Inn brand opens the Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach in Thailand this month at the former Sala Talay Resort. The rebranding of the resort adds yet another Holiday Inn flag on Thailand’s map and also marks another milestone in the history of the brand as it celebrates its 60th birthday this year.

IHG has signed and opened three new Holiday Inn Express hotels in the United Kingdom following their fast-track conversion from Hampton by Hilton. The hotels will be managed by Kew Green.
