Atlantic Airways has announced it will be launching a new direct flight from London Gatwick to Vágar Airport in the Faroe Islands from June 23rd.
The pristine Faroe Islands – a group of volcanic islands in the North Atlantic, halfway between Iceland and Norway – welcome around 100,000 visitors each year.
The Faroe Islands’ newest boutique hotel - Hotel Havgrím - is situated on the shore of Úti við Strond on the island of Streymoy. The property is just a stone’s throw from the historic fort of Skansin and within easy walking distance to the town centre and old part of Tórshavn, the capital.
Koks in the Faroe Islands has been awarded its first star by the Michelin Guide Nordic Countries 2017 – the first ever to be given to a Faroese restaurant.
