Etihad Airways to bring A380 to Melbourne route
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will commence daily A380 services between Abu Dhabi and Melbourne on June 1st, 2016. The flagship superjumbo will operate flights EY460/461, one of the airline’s twice daily Abu Dhabi-Melbourne services. It will replace one of the three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft currently deployed on the route.
Etihad Airways wins airberlin codeshare court case
Etihad Airways has welcomed the ruling by the Administrative Court of Braunschweig allowing it to continue operating all its codeshare flights with airberlin to destinations in Europe, the US and the UAE. The injunction, which is valid until November 8th, provides an opportunity for the parties to resolve outstanding differences through on going consultation between the governments of the United Arab Emirates and Germany. Etihad as well as airberlin will continue to honour all flights and passenger travel arrangements will remain entirely unaffected.

Etihad Airways to welcome ABTA Travel Convention to Abu Dhabi
ABTA – The Travel Association, has revealed that Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and its national airline Etihad Airways, will host the association’s Travel Convention in 2016. The convention will take place from October 10th-12th, 2016, at the Yas Viceroy Hotel on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s hub of leisure, sports and retail activities.

Etihad Airways has announced its award-winning Airbus A380 service will begin flying between Abu Dhabi and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on November 23rd, 2015. The aircraft is the only one flying to feature a commercially available three-room suite in the sky - The Residence by Etihad.

The chief executive officers of six airlines in the Etihad Airways Partners group have met in Rome to identify and progress collaborative initiatives designed to cut the carriers’ costs, increase their revenues, and expand sustainable choice for their customers. Etihad increases equity investment following surge in demand
Etihad Airways and its equity partner airlines have increased the funds raised from their unique platform financing transaction to US$700 million following a surge in demand from international financial institutions. Etihad Airways, Etihad Airport Services, airberlin, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles, Aliltalia and Jet Airways announced on Tuesday they had successfully raised US$ 500 million through the transaction, which followed roadshows in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and London.

Etihad Airways rolls out new baggage policy
Etihad Airways will introduce sweeping new baggage policy enhancements in conjunction with the launch of its new Fare Choices tariff structure, effective for tickets issued on or after September 14th 2015, providing more choice and clarity to its guests. The new policy has been introduced to respond to individual customer needs with greater flexibility and to more closely align Etihad Airways with other Etihad Airways Partner airlines.
