Etihad Airways reveals new First Class amenity kits
Etihad Airways has revealed its new First Class amenity kits, designed in partnership with two leading brands from the worlds of fashion and beauty: internationally renowned fashion designer Christian Lacroix, and pioneering Hungarian skincare brand, Omorovicza. The attractive new bags will initially be introduced on the airline’s Airbus A380 flights between Abu Dhabi and London, New York, Sydney, Melbourne and Mumbai, and then fleet-wide in early 2017.
Etihad Airways increases flights to Sydney, Australia
Etihad Airways will add three weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Sydney to operate a double-daily schedule from February 6th, 2017. The morning departure from Abu Dhabi – EY450 – and the afternoon departure from Sydney – EY451 – will increase from four to seven flights per week This enhancement to the airline’s Sydney schedule comes with the move by strategic partner Virgin Australia to shift its Australia to Abu Dhabi operation from Sydney to Perth from June 9th, 2017.
Etihad Explorers launches to children on-board Abu Dhabi flag-carrier
With millions of families planning and looking forward to their next holiday or trip abroad, Etihad Airways has introduced a new range of ‘Etihad Explorers’ children’s activity packs and a Flying Nanny Kit, to keep its younger guests occupied while on-board. Etihad Explorers is the airline’s new children’s brand and will feature on activity packs and meal items, and aims to instil a sense of excitement and anticipation during their journey.
Etihad Airways to launch daily flight to Venice, Italy
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will expand its services to Italy with a daily flight to Venice Marco Polo Airport. The new service will begin from October 30th and be served by an Airbus A319, offering 16 seats in Business and 90 in Economy. Together with Alitalia, its codeshare and equity partner, Etihad Airways will offer 35 weekly flights in and out of Italy, including double daily services to Rome and Milan.
Etihad Airways adds second Airbus A380 to New York route
Etihad Airways has announced plans to increase Airbus A380 service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Abu Dhabi International Airport in response to heightened demand from guests traveling between the two destinations. Beginning on June 1st, 2017, the airline will upgrade its second flight between Abu Dhabi and New York JFK to its A380 aircraft.
Etihad Airways brings latest lounge concept to Los Angeles

Air Serbia launches flights to New York
Etihad Airways’ equity partner Air Serbia has launched flights to the United States, a milestone achieved with the support of, and in collaboration with, several of Etihad Airways equity partner airlines. Air Serbia, in which Etihad Airways has a 49 per cent stake, launched its five-times-a-week scheduled flights between its Belgrade hub and New York JFK International Airport, marking a return of direct air links between Serbia and the USA after a 24-year absence.
Etihad Airways signs codeshare deal with Avianca Brasil
Etihad Airways and Avianca Brasil, one of the leading airlines in Latin America, have announced a codeshare partnership. Under the agreement, Etihad Airways will put its ‘EY’ code on domestic flights operated by Avianca Brasil, while Avianca Brasil will put its ‘O6’ code on Etihad Airways flights between Abu Dhabi and São Paulo.

Etihad Airways has introduced industry-leading technology powered by Sabre Corporation that helps personalise the travel experience for passengers, enabling them to easily purchase customised fares. The national airline of the United Arab Emirates operates more than 1,000 flights per week to over 120 destinations worldwide.
Etihad Airways celebrates Scottish success in Edinburgh
Etihad Airways has marked the first anniversary of its service to Edinburgh Airport. Over the past year, the top five destinations for the airline from Edinburgh Airport have been Abu Dhabi, Sydney, Bangkok, Melbourne and Perth. In March 2016, Etihad Airways announced that it would resume daily services between Edinburgh and Abu Dhabi for the summer season 2016.
New appointments for Etihad Airways
Etihad Airways has appointed UAE nationals as Airport Managers in South Korea, Seychelles, and Saudi Arabia. This brings to eight the number of Etihad Airways’ Emirati Airport Managers across the world.
Etihad upgrades Melbourne route with A380 introduction
Etihad Airways has rostered its next-generation A380 aircraft between Melbourne and Abu Dhabi, adding additional capacity. The flagship superjumbo will operate one of the airline’s double daily flights between Melbourne and Abu Dhabi. It will replace one of the three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft currently deployed on the route.
