Etihad Airways is expanding its scheduled services between Abu Dhabi and India as strategic partner Jet Airways unveiled new routes and additional frequencies to further strengthen their partnership. From early 2017, the two airlines will expand their services between the United Arab Emirates and India by adding 28 weekly flights and three further Indian cities.

Etihad Airways has successfully completed the sponsorship of its first six Fashion Weeks, in partnership with WME | IMG. Etihad Airways’ support of global fashion began with Fashion Weeks in Sydney, Berlin and Mumbai, culminating with the three major Fashion Weeks in New York, London and Milan.

Etihad Airways today announced the introduction of an additional daily year-round service between Abu Dhabi and Dublin which increases frequency on the route to 14 flights a week, effective April 1st, 2017. The second daily operation, from the beginning of the summer 2017 season, reflects Etihad Airways’ long-term commitment to the route, and coincides with the Abu Dhabi-based carrier’s tenth anniversary of flying to the Irish capital.

Etihad Airways has appointed Maris Kuklis as its meetings, incentives, conferences and event account manager for the UK. He will oversee the development of the airline’s B2B MICE strategy and the growth of this sector. His focus will be building strategic relations with key Abu Dhabi stakeholders such as the convention bureaus, convention centres, hotels, destination management companies as well as leading tourism organisations such as Tourism Australia and Etihad’s own destination management company, Hala Group.

Etihad Airways continues to build its presence in Africa through a new codeshare agreement with kulula, South Africa’s award-winning low cost carrier. The codeshare deal offers Etihad Airways customers flight options to a number of key cities in South Africa that include Cape Town, Durban, George and East London via Johannesburg. Etihad Airways will place its EY code on kulula’s scheduled flights between Johannesburg and these popular coastal cities.
