Emirates and Malaysia Airlines have unveil new routes and frequent flyer benefits as part of their codeshare agreement to provide customers seamless connections and world class travel experiences, across the globe. The new routes cover 15 key Malaysian cities: Langkawi, Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuching, Miri, Bintulu, Sibu, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Tawau, Labuan, Alor Setar, Kota Bharu, Kuantan and Kuala Terengganu.

Emirates is planning to boost capacity to London with the addition of a tenth daily flight to the British capital starting 1st October 2016. The new service, Emirates’ fourth daily flight to London Gatwick, will complement its six daily services to Heathrow and take the airline’s total weekly services to the city to 70.

Emirates has launched an Airbus A380 service to Birmingham Airport. The airline’s inaugural flight on its new daily A380 service from Dubai touched down at 12:20. This is the first time that the double-decker aircraft will operate a regular service from the airport, with the A380 replacing the Boeing 777 on the daily EK39/40 service.

Emirates and Russian carrier S7 Airlines have enhanced their partnership which is set to improve connectivity and benefits for customers across Russia. Emirates and S7 Airlines have been in an interline partnership since 2003 which was further enhanced in 2008. The new codeshare deal further builds on this strong partnership and sees the Emirates code added to more than 30 routes operated by S7 Airlines across Russia as well as on S7’s twice weekly service between Dubai to Novosibirsk.

Emirates has launched its first non-stop service between Dubai and Auckland, one of the world’s longest scheduled flights, bringing 39 European destinations and another 38 in Africa and the Middle East within just one stop of New Zealand. And to celebrate the milestone, the first service was operated with a double-decker A380 rather than the Boeing 777-200LR that will regularly fly the route.
