Since its first flight to New York from Dubai on August 1st, 2008, the Emirates A380 has carried more than 105 million passengers, clocking in more than 1.5 billion kilometres on 115,000 flights, equivalent to 39,000 trips around the globe.

Emirates has celebrated the inaugural flight of its new daily service from Dubai to London Stansted. The flight marks the first time an international airline based in the Middle East operates out of the popular London airport, and connects the East of England with Emirates’ global network of over 155 destinations via its hub Dubai.

Emirates will start a daily service between Edinburgh and Dubai, from October 1st. Scotland’s capital city will become Emirates’ second destination in Scotland after Glasgow and its eighth in the United Kingdom after the airline starts its daily service to London Stansted in June.

Emirates will unveil its new Boeing 777-300ER first class private suite exhibit at the Arabian Travel Market. This year marks Emirates’ 25th year of partnership and commitment to ATM.

Emirates has unveiled a brand-new business class cabin and configuration on its Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, with new wider seats laid out in a 2-2-2 configuration for the first time. The airline has invested over US$150 million to refurbish the ten existing 777-200LR aircraft in its fleet.
