Emirates president Clark warns on rise of low-cost, long-haul carriers
Emirates president Tim Clark has warned legacy carriers that low-cost, long-haul operators are simply a “matter of time”. Speaking today at the Aviation Festival in London, the industry veteran said the development would be a “great step forward for the industry”.

Emirates and the Football Association have announced a three year contract extension to their successful existing partnership of the FA Cup. The agreement will see the tournament continue to be named The Emirates FA Cup through until 2021.
Dubai International breaks 43 million passenger barrier in first six months
Passenger traffic at Dubai International surpassed 43 million in the first half of 2017, according to the traffic report issued by operator Dubai Airports. DXB handled a total of 43,054,268 passengers during the first half, up 6.3 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2016 when the airport welcomed 40,507,251 passengers.

Emirates to debut new First Class product at Dubai Air Show
Emirates has confirmed that its new First Class product will be showcased at the Dubai Air Show in November. Making its debut on-board a Boeing 777-300ER, Emirates’ new First Class cabin will feature six private suites laid out in a 1-1-1 layout, compared to the existing eight in a 1-2-1 layout on its existing 777 fleet.
