easyJet keeps passengers switched on
easyJet has announced that from today, all passengers onboard will be allowed to use their personal electronic devices such as laptops, DVD players, tablets and mobile phones onboard in ‘Flight Mode’ throughout the whole flight including during take-off and landing. Up until now, passengers have had to turn their devices off for both periods during the flight, and the change comes after recent recommendations from the European Aviation Safety Agency for these restrictions to be relaxed.
easyJet launches winter 2014 schedule
easyJet has unveiled its schedule for winter 2014 with 324 routes on sale from the UK to destinations across Europe, Northern Africa, Russia and Iceland. In total the airline has placed over 11 million seats on sale today at www.easyJet.com, an increase of almost 100,000 seats on winter 2013.
London Luton Airport signs major new growth deal with easyJet
London Luton Airport has signed a new ten year deal with easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, which will more than double the number of easyJet passengers using the Airport to over nine million a year. The agreement, which will see the creation of 2,500 new jobs at the Airport and in the surrounding region, is expected to open up new business and leisure routes as well as adding additional frequency on easyJet’s existing 39 routes from London Luton.

easyJet has launched a Hebrew homepage. Customers using the new homepage will benefit from content translated into Hebrew along with information about flying with easyJet. Customers will also be able to book their flights in any of the ten currencies available including euros and US dollars.

UK low cost carrier easyJet has appointed Anthony Drury to the newly created Director of Business role. Anthony joins the airline from American Express where he has held a number of senior leadership positions since 2002. Most recently Anthony was the Vice President and General Manager across Northern Europe within the company’s Global Business Travel organisation.
