easyJet has added a further four new routes from London Gatwick Airport which will launch as part of its summer 2014 schedule across the UK and Europe. The new connections between London and Newcastle will be provided 6 days per week with flights to Brittany, France also adding to the airline’s comprehensive range of leisure destinations.

easyJet has announced its expansion plans in Italy with the opening of a base in Naples. The new base, easyJet’s third in Italy and 24th in its European network, will be operational from spring 2014.
easyJet inks deal with Sabre
Sabre Travel Network and easyJet have partnered to advance the airline’s merchandising strategy through the Sabre travel marketplace. Sabre-connected travel agents can now select and pay for specific seats at the same time as they make a flight booking for their customers.
Transaero Airlines and easyJet sign commercial agreement
Transaero Airlines, Russia’s second largest carrier, and easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, have signed a Commercial Agreement on flights between Moscow (Domodedovo) and London (Gatwick).
easyJet adds two new destinations from Bristol
easyJet has added two new routes for Bristol Airport, with flights to Reykjavik and Marrakech launching in December 2013. The low cost carrier will operate the routes using 156 seater Airbus A319 and expects to carry over 55,000 passengers during the first 12 months.

easyJet is planning to open a base in Hamburg as well as increasing its fleet in Berlin in Spring 2014. The announcement was made by chief executive Carolyn McCall at an event at Airbus’ facilities in Hamburg.

easyJet signs up for enhanced Amadeus booking service
easyJet and Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, have announced the launch of unique system enhancements that will allow travel agents around the world, in a phased approach, to book low-cost carriers with the same booking flow as that used for traditional carriers, regardless of the airline’s distribution preferences. easyJet is the first carrier to become a light ticketing airline in the Amadeus system, thereby greatly improving the way in which travel agents access, book and provide service when selling easyJet flights.
easyJet rolls out pan-European ad campaign
easyJet is launching a pan-European, multi-media advertising campaign to reflect the diversity of easyJet’s passengers. The campaign will be run in 10 countries across Europe with a total spend of over £5m in total.
easyJet brings mobile boarding technology to London Gatwick
easyJet has announced that customers travelling from London Gatwick Airport can now board their flights using mobile boarding passes on their Apple or Android smartphones. Just four months after starting to trial the technology at six airports - London Stansted, London Southend, Manchester, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Nice - mobile boarding passes are now available for around 85 per cent of the easyJet network.
