Dubai World Central develops cargo role in United Arab Emirates
Cargo traffic at Dubai World Central grew 9.1 per cent during the first nine months of the year, according to the traffic report issued today by operator Dubai Airports. DWC handled a total of 704,735 tonnes of freight year to date September, an increase of 9.1 per cent compared to 645,698 tonnes during the corresponding period in 2016.
Dubai International sees record passenger numbers in October
Dubai International welcomed 6.4 million passengers in October, according to the monthly traffic report issued by operator Dubai Airports. Passenger traffic at DXB reached 6,420,208 passengers compared to 6,250,810 recorded in the corresponding month last year, an increase of 2.7 per cent. Year to date, passenger numbers at DXB have risen 6.8 per cent to 69,366,094 compared to 64,947,684 recorded during the first ten months of 2015.

Dubai Airports adds A380 facilities at Dubai International
Dubai Airports has announced it has commissioned work on a project that will expand the number of A380 contact stands at Dubai International’s Concourse C to enable the facility to accommodate Emirates’ growing fleet of superjumbos. The project will increase the number of Code F gates at Concourse C from three to 13, bringing the total number of A380 gates at DXB to 47, more than any other airport in the world. Concourse C became a part of the Terminal 3 complex used exclusively by Dubai’s flagship carrier Emirates and its partner Qantas, following the opening of the US$ 1.2 billion Concourse D in February earlier this year.

Dubai Airports to invest US$1.2bn in terminal expansion
