Japan Airlines and British Airways have announced the start of codeshare arrangements on the routes between Tokyo and London (Heathrow), as well as the sales of joint fares on applicable routes from October 1st, 2012. At present, the airlines are codes haring on a total of 23 routes connecting London with 23 other European cities, and on eight routes between Tokyo (Narita) and seven destinations domestically and internationally.

Accelya has announced British Airways has extended its partnership contract for sales audit and revenue recovery services. The new contract, which takes effect in October 2012, will continue the long standing relationship between British Airways and Accelya for a further three years.

British Airways is planning to double the number of flights between Dublin and London Heathrow on its service this winter. Following the acquisition of bmi by International Airlines Group (IAG), British Airways now operates this air link after taking over the route at the end of June.

British Airways is launching a new route to Sri Lanka from Gatwick next year. The three-times-a-week service to the capital city Colombo will start on March 31st and will be operated by a Boeing 777 with three cabins including Club World with fully flat beds.

British Airways has announced the introduction of its award-winning, new First class service on four of its popular Caribbean routes from Gatwick this summer. Customers flying on holidays to Barbados, Bermuda, St Lucia and Port of Spain in Trinidad will be able to experience the new British Airways premium cabin. The Gatwick-based Boeing 777-200 aircraft with the new First cabin offers a 60 per cent wider seat, private wardrobes, personal electronic blinds and balanced privacy that creates an intimate experience.

British Airways customers on the move can now capture and share their own ideal personalised travel guides and more, with the launch of a new Perfect Day app for iPhones. It follows last year’s launch of the Perfect Days app on Facebook, which has enabled hundreds of British Airways customers to share how they would spend their Perfect Days in locations around the world flown to by the airline.
