Swiss has unveiled further details of its new Bombardier C-Series aircraft fleet, which it is acquiring for its European short- and medium-haul network. The attractive cabin interior and innovative new passenger seat were presented during the first visit to Zurich of the state-of-the-art new twinjet, of which Swiss is launching customer.
Malaysian government reveals plans for new flymojo airline
Officials in Malaysia have revealed plans to launch a new airline having signed a $1.5 billion deal with aircraft manufacturer Bombardier. The deal will see Malaysia purchase 20 CS100 aircraft, with options for an additional 20, for use by the new airline, flymojo. The carrier will be based out of Johor Bahru in the south and Kota Kinabalu in east Malaysia.
Flybe and Bombardier sign strategic services agreement
Flybe and Bombardier have signed a strategic services agreement which confirms the Bombardier Q400 as Flybe’s aircraft of choice in its UK branded business and sees Bombardier undertaking a major programme of enhancements over the coming months which will make Flybe’s current 45-strong Q400 fleet one of the most operationally efficient regional fleets in the world.
Bombardier Bogie Technical Centre is operational
Rail technology leader Bombardier Transportation today celebrated the official opening of its new Bogie Technical Centre in Siegen, Germany. Guntram Schneider, Minister of Labour, Integration and Social Affairs of the federal state of North Rhine Westphalia, and more than 100 guests took part in an opening ceremony at Bombardier’s Siegen bogie production site.

Bombardier selected for Crossrail rolling stock
The contract to deliver rolling stock and a new depot for the London Crossrail project has been awarded to Bombardier by the British department for transport. The £1 billion contract between TfL and Bombardier covers the supply, delivery and maintenance of 65 new trains and a depot at Old Oak Common.

WestJet takes delivery of first Bombardier Q400 NextGen turboprop
Bombardier Aerospace and WestJet have announced the delivery of the first of 20 Q400 NextGen turboprop airliners ordered by the airline. The aircraft will be operated by the new regional carrier, WestJet Encore and will serve multiple destinations, beginning in Western Canada in its first year of service.
Bombardier introduces new Challenger 350 aircraft
Bombardier Aerospace has expanded its Challenger family of business jets with the addition of the new Challenger 350 aircraft. Deliveries of the aircraft are expected to begin in 2014.
Bombardier wins further signalling contract in the Baltics
Rail technology leader Bombardier Transportation, leading a consortium with Belam Riga, has won a contract for the construction and upgrade of the signalling and associated infrastructure systems in the Bolderaja region of Latvia. Bombardier will deliver its INTERFLO 200 solution to Latvian Railways (LDz) on a section of the Bolderaja – Zasulauks line, which connects the capital city Riga with the Boldoraja and Riga harbour area.
