New rail service between Belgium and France
Belgium’s Lineas and DFDS are joining forces to transport containers and trailers from the port of Gothenburg via Ghent at North Sea Port on rail to Lyon - and vice versa. It will create a connection between Sweden, Belgium, and France.

VLM Airlines launches new Antwerp flights from Birmingham
European regional carrier, VLM Airlines, has launched a direct service from Birmingham to the thriving commercial and tourist centre of Antwerp in Belgium. The inaugural flight was greeted with a water arch salute whilst VIP passengers were greeted by the Belgium ambassador to the United Kingdom, Guy Trouveroy. Trouveroy showed further support for the new service during an exchange of gifts between Antwerp-based goldsmith, Wim Meeussen, and Birmingham-based jewellery designer, Alice Stewart.

Massive diamond heist at Brussels Airport
Armed robbers have stolen diamonds £30 million from Brussels Airport, according to reports from Belgian state broadcaster VRT reported. Eight men launched a coordinated raid on the diamonds while the gems were being loaded onto a plane.
