British Airways has announced that all direct flights to and from Heathrow and Beijing will move to new state-of-the-art Daxing airport from October. The new airport is approximately 50 kilometres from both Beijing city centre and the Xiong’an New Area and only 80 kilometres from Tianjin.
Finnair passengers will have even better connections to Beijing this winter with the launch of flights to the city’s new Daxing International Airport. Sprawling multi-billion-dollar Daxing airport, which was designed by the late British architect Zaha Hadid, has been built in just five years.
