The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and tour operator EasyJet holidays on Wednesday announced a four-year partnership designed to strengthen Greece’s position as a premier travel destination. The announcement was made at the World Travel Market (WTM) 2024 expo in London. EasyJet, one of the largest carriers from the UK to Greece, currently operates 136 routes to 14 popular Greek destinations, including Kos, Corfu, Crete, and Rhodes.

Airbus delivers first A321XLR to Iberia
Spanish flag carrier Iberia has taken delivery of its first A321XLR, becoming the launch operator of the world’s newest single-aisle aircraft. The aircraft, powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines, will be operated by Iberia on a number of regional flights across the airline’s European network before its first transatlantic mission from Madrid to Boston later in November. Marco Sansavini, CEO & Chairman at Iberia, said: “We are very proud to be the launch airline for this new Airbus aircraft. The A321XLR will allow us to reach new destinations, operating transoceanic routes and doing so in a more efficient way.”

SWISS to offer new summer services to Niš, Heringsdorf, Montpellier and Dubrovnik
SWISS will be further expanding its route network in its 2025 summer schedules with the introduction of new non‑stop services between Zurich and Niš (Serbia), Heringsdorf (Germany), Montpellier (France) and Dubrovnik (Croatia). SWISS will also be continuing the new non-stop Geneva-Berlin service launched this winter in next year’s summer schedules. Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is to add four new European destinations from Zurich in its 2025 summer schedules to offer customers an even more attractive range of air travel options. The new services from Zurich will be provided to Niš (Serbia), Heringsdorf (Germany), Montpellier (France) and Dubrovnik (Croatia).

TAP RESUMES FLIGHTS TO MANAUS
TAP Air Portugal has resumed services to Manaus, the capital of the Brazilian state of Amazonas, with flight TP51 from Lisbon on 4 November arriving at Manaus - Eduardo Gomes International Airport later that day. The service is operated using an A321 neo aircraft, which can carry 154 passengers (138 in economy and 16 in business). The 11-hour and 45-minute flight includes a stopover in Belém.
