easyJet and Airbus are trialling a new model to help business travellers address their carbon footprint and stimulate global SAF production. SAF is expected to be a critical lever in decarbonising the aviation sector, offering an estimated 80% reduction in carbon lifecycle emissions on average compared to conventional jet fuel.

In October, Norwegian had 2,197,751 passengers while Widerøe had 372,757 passengers, totalling 2,570,508 for the group. Capacity for Norwegian was up 10 percent, while the load factor was close to 87 percent, resulting in a record load factor this year if we exclude the peak summer month of July.

TAP ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF THE ALTITUDE FILM FEST
On Tuesday 5 November, TAP Air Portugal announced the winners of the Altitude Film Fest, the airline’s first On-Board Film Festival, at an awards ceremony that took place in cinema room 11 of the UCI Cinema El Corte Inglés, in Lisbon. Actor and radio presenter Rui Maria Pêgo hosted the ceremony. This inaugural edition of the Altitude Film Fest invited passengers on TAP long-haul flights to take part in choosing the winners throughout the month of October. The response was extraordinary, with a total of 1,542 votes: 837 in the fiction category and 705 in the documentary category. The winning films were selected from 10 finalists - five in the fiction category and five in the documentary category - chosen by the jury from a total of 355 submissions, which included 101 documentaries and 254 fiction films.
