SWISS to offer new summer services to Niš, Heringsdorf, Montpellier and Dubrovnik
SWISS will be further expanding its route network in its 2025 summer schedules with the introduction of new non‑stop services between Zurich and Niš (Serbia), Heringsdorf (Germany), Montpellier (France) and Dubrovnik (Croatia). SWISS will also be continuing the new non-stop Geneva-Berlin service launched this winter in next year’s summer schedules.
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is to add four new European destinations from Zurich in its 2025 summer schedules to offer customers an even more attractive range of air travel options. The new services from Zurich will be provided to Niš (Serbia), Heringsdorf (Germany), Montpellier (France) and Dubrovnik (Croatia).
“We are constantly striving to tailor our flight programme even more closely to our customers’ wishes and needs,” explains SWISS Chief Commercial Officer Heike Birlenbach. “To this end, we work unceasingly to steadily further develop our range of air services and expand these where appropriate. So we’re delighted to provide our customers with an even more attractive and varied air travel offer for next year’s summer timetable period.”
A range of new destinations from Zurich
In the high summer months of July and August, SWISS will fly to Niš on Mondays and Thursdays, to Heringsdorf on Saturdays and to Montpellier on Mondays and Fridays.

Niš is a major historic and cultural centre located in southern Serbia. The city, which is one of the oldest in the country, boasts a range of sights and attractions that include Niš Fortress, the Skull Tower and numerous museums. The new SWISS service from Zurich is aimed primarily at travellers seeking a comfortable air travel option for visiting friends and relatives in the region.
Heringsdorf on the holiday island of Usedom offers fine sandy beaches and a picturesque promenade. The local natural surroundings are perfect, too, for walks and cycle rides.
Montpellier is famed for its architecture and its enticing blend of modern dynamism and medieval charm. The historic centre is particularly worth exploring with its Place de la Comédie and its Porte du Payrou arch. Being a university town, Montpellier also has a thriving arts and culture scene.
SWISS will also commence service to Dubrovnik on 17 April 2025. The route is being taken over from sister carrier Edelweiss, and will be served with up to five weekly flights throughout the summer schedules until the end of October. Dubrovnik, which stands on Croatia’s Adriatic coast, boasts a particularly well-preserved Old City that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Majestic walls and historic buildings like the Sponza Palace and Fort Lovrijenac dominate the cityscape. But the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ further offers attractive beaches, crystal-clear waters and a rich cultural past. It’s also gained more modern-day popularity as a filming location for the TV series ‘Game of Thrones’.
More flights to existing destinations
To better meet customer demand, SWISS will also be increasing frequencies to selected European destinations in next year’s summer schedules. These include Manchester (UK), Krakow (Poland), Košice (Slovakia) and Copenhagen (Denmark).
Washington DC, Toronto and Seoul to be served next summer, too
The recently added long-haul destinations of Washington DC, Toronto and Seoul will also receive SWISS service in the 2025 summer schedules. Flights to the seasonal destinations of Seoul and Toronto will resume in early and mid-March respectively.
Geneva-Berlin to continue
SWISS will continue to provide the non-stop service between Geneva and Berlin introduced in the present winter schedules in the 2025 summer timetable period. A daily service will be offered on the route, operated with Airbus A220 family aircraft.
SWISS’s 2025 summer schedules will again put a firm focus on its wide range of destinations in the Mediterranean region, for which demand is traditionally particularly strong in the summer months.
New services now bookable
SWISS will offer a total of 116 destinations from Zurich and Geneva in its 2025 summer schedules: 70 European and 25 intercontinental destinations from Zurich and 40 short-haul destinations plus New York from Geneva.
The 2025 summer timetable period will run from 30 March to 25 October.
The new services are bookable with immediate effect via www.swiss.com and all further booking channels.
