Jetstar announces new seasonal route between Darwin and the Gold Coast
Jetstar is adding thousands more low fare seats to its Northern Territory and Queensland network, with a new seasonal service set to take off between Darwin and the Gold Coast later this year. From 26 June to 24 October 2025, the low-cost-carrier will operate four direct flights per week on its fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft.

Air New Zealand seasonal service to Seoul will not return for October 2025
The airline’s final seasonal flight from Incheon (ICN) to Auckland (AKL) will take place on 29 March 2025, marking the conclusion of this route’s seasonal service. Air New Zealand Chief Commercial Officer Jeremy O’Brien acknowledged the disappointment this may cause. “We understand this will be disappointing for some customers, and we sincerely apologise for the impact. Due to the ongoing challenges with engine availability, we have reviewed our network to ensure we are set up to operate our schedule effectively and best deliver for our customers’ needs.”
Ontario International Airport to welcome STARLUX as its newest airline partner in June 2025
Ontario International Airport (ONT) welcomed news from STARLUX Airlines that it will begin service between the Inland Empire and Taiwan in June. The Taipei-based carrier will initiate nonstop service between ONT and Taipei, Taiwan (TPE) on June 2, 2025, with flights operating four times a week in both directions – Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has released its traffic statistics for January 2025, starting the year with continued strong performance. The airline welcomed 1.7 million guests during the month, an 18 per cent rise on the same period last year, and a passenger load factor of 89 per cent compared to 86 per cent for January 2024.
