Starting this year as part of its strategic realignment, airberlin is introducing Business Class to German and European flights and will therefore offer a consistent product experience on short, medium and long-haul flights for the first time. Flybe signs significant codeshare deal with airberlin
Flybe has signed a significant codeshare relationship with airberlin. Under the agreement, airberlin will place its marketing code on Flybe routes from Birmingham, Cardiff, Doncaster, Manchester and Southampton to Germany.

Etihad Airways launches latest stage of airberlin legal battle
Etihad Airways today launched fresh legal action in a bid to overturn a German court’s decision to revoke the approval for 29 of its codeshare flights with airberlin. Last week, the Administrative Court of Braunschweig decided that the German ministry of transport was entitled to reject the 29 Etihad Airways-airberlin codeshares, which had been approved only until January 15th 2016.

airberlin introduces on-board 3G internet
airberlin is installing 3G connectivity across its entire long-haul fleet, becoming the first airline to offer the AeroMobile 3G eXPhone service. The first aircraft to be equipped with the new service is an Airbus A330-200 with the registration D-ABXC.

Etihad-airberlin codeshare deal hit by German court
A court in Germany has ruled that Etihad Airways and airberlin cannot continue codesharing arrangements on some of their routes beyond mid-January. Abu Dhabi-based Etihad holds a 29.2 per cent stake in Germany’s second-largest airline and their codesharing provides important income for airberlin.

AeroMobile brings 3G mobile coverage to skies

The inflight 3G network operated over Panasonic’s Ku service enables a quality and range of services much closer to those experienced on the ground.

Etihad Airways wins airberlin codeshare court case
Etihad Airways has welcomed the ruling by the Administrative Court of Braunschweig allowing it to continue operating all its codeshare flights with airberlin to destinations in Europe, the US and the UAE. The injunction, which is valid until November 8th, provides an opportunity for the parties to resolve outstanding differences through on going consultation between the governments of the United Arab Emirates and Germany. Etihad as well as airberlin will continue to honour all flights and passenger travel arrangements will remain entirely unaffected.

airberlin begins codeshare deal with Bulgaria Air
Starting in January, airberlin and Bulgaria Air, the Bulgarian Republic’s national airline, are offering codeshare flights on selected European routes. airberlin will put its code on Bulgaria Air flights from Berlin, Frankfurt and Vienna to Sofia, introducing non-stop flights for the first time from Austria to the Bulgarian capital.

airberlin adds flights to Bucharest
As of 30 March 2015 airberlin will be doubling the number of flights from Berlin to Bucharest. The airline will then have two daily non-stop flights to the Romanian capital, offering 13 new connecting destinations to and from Bucharest.
