airberlin is taking off from Berlin to Bucharest and Sofia. From today, the airline will fly to the capitals of Romania and Bulgaria once a day and hence, continues the expansion of its eastern European route network from the Berlin hub.

airberlin has unveiled several initiatives to strengthen its management structure and streamline the operation of its board. The changes will see Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, an experienced airline industry executive, join the management team as chief strategy and network planning officer.
