Air France, KLM and Travelport sign content deal
Travelport and Air France KLM have signed a new, multi-year global distribution agreement providing all Travelport-connected users with full content. The agreement includes ancillary services such as Economy Comfort and Seat Plus. Travelport-connected agents will also gain access to full content from Air France’s new regional carrier, HOP!.

Air France launches new route to Montevideo, South America
Air France is continuing to expand its long-haul international network, the largest in the world on departure from Europe, with a new destination in South America: Montevideo. Starting today, the capital city of Uruguay will be served by five weekly flights, as an extension of the flight to Buenos Aires in Argentina.

Hertz and Air France celebrate 24 year relationship
The Hertz Corporation, the world’s largest general use car rental brand, is celebrating its 24 year partnership with Air France by offering Air France-KLM customers 24 per cent off basic car rentals for bookings made during the week of Valentine’s Day for any of the 1,000 Air France-KLM destinations around the world. The offer, which will run from 11th to 18th February, is valid on all qualifying rentals that commence by 30th September 2013.
Air France aims at low-cost airline market with MiNi fares
Air France has launched its new economy offer, a new fare offer available to 58 destinations on the short and medium-haul network. On sale now, for travel from February 6th 2013, customers will have the choice between the all-inclusive Classic product and the new ‘MiNi product’, a simplified product which does not earn Flying Blue miles and is aimed at customers travelling without checked baggage.
Continental cleared of Air France Concorde disaster
Continental Airlines has been cleared of involvement in the crash of an Air France Concorde in July 2000 by a French court of appeals. The American carrier had been held criminally responsible for the crash after a piece of metal from one of its aircraft was blamed for causing the disaster.

Air France to bring world to East Midlands
Air France has confirmed it will launch a new service from East Midlands Airport to the rest of the world via Paris through a new code share partnership with Flybe. The twice-daily service that commences from October 28th 2012 will give business and leisure travellers from the East Midlands region the opportunity to connect with Air France’s extensive global network of 180 destinations from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Air France restructures business
Air France has revealed plans to change its management structure in a bid to become more competitive and customer focused. The three-year plan, ‘Transform 2015’, will see Air France-KLM seek to reduce operating costs by €2 billion to cover debts.
