Etihad enters its biggest summer yet with 10% more capacity
Etihad Airways is entering its largest summer season ever, operating more than 300 daily flights, carrying near-record passenger loads and launching or returning nine destinations within days as demand for travel to, from and through Abu Dhabi continues to accelerate. The milestone comes as Etihad continues its rapid growth trajectory, with summer capacity up 10% year-on-year and supported by a fleet that has grown by 23 aircraft compared with the same period last year. With flights operating at close to 90% load factors, the airline is seeing strong demand across its network spanning Europe, Asia, North America, Africa and the Middle East.

Marking a decade of rewarding loyal customers, the milestone flight represents a major moment for Aer Lingus’ popular Avios-Only offering – where every seat onboard is exclusively available to purchase using the airline’s reward currency Avios. This is the first time the concept is being extended across the Atlantic with Aer Lingus.
Eurowings Expands Mallorca Commitment with Winter Growth and New Jobs Initiative
Eurowings and the Government of the Balearic Islands have agreed to work together to further position Mallorca as an attractive travel destination beyond the summer months. Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind regenerative tourism destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA, has completed the modernization of AlWajh International Airport (EJH) located in northwest Saudi Arabia. The airport is once again receiving flights, with three weekly connections from Riyadh (RUH) and two from Jeddah (JED) operated by Saudia. International flights are expected to commence soon.

ARAJET ACCOUNTS FOR MORE THAN 10% OF ALL PASSENGERS TRAVELING TO AND FROM THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Arajet, the Dominican Republic’s flag carrier, posted the strongest May in its history, reinforcing its rapid growth and expanding presence in the country’s aviation sector. According to data released by the Dominican Republic Civil Aviation Board (JAC), Arajet carried more than 163,000 passengers on flights to and from the country in May 2026, excluding connecting traffic. The performance allowed the airline to capture more than 10% of all passenger traffic entering or leaving the Dominican Republic during the month.
AUSTRALIA TO THE WORLD, NON-STOP: QANTAS TO LAUNCH HISTORY-MAKING FLIGHTS TO LONDON
Qantas will launch its world-first non-stop services between Sydney and London from October 2027, the first time the Kangaroo Route has ever been flown without stops from Australia's east coast.
