Vienna Airport: 4.7% increase in passengers during October 2011

The number of passengers handled by Vienna Airport rose by 4.7% year-on-year to 1,914,554 in October 2011.

Maximum take-off weight (MTOW) increased 0.2%, while flight movements and cargo declined by 0.7% and 8.6%, respectively. The number of transfer passengers was 13.5% higher than in October 2010.

The number of passengers travelling to Eastern Europe rose by 17.0% over October of the previous year. Passenger traffic to Western Europe increased 4.0%, while the Middle East recorded a decrease of 1.7% in October 2011.
