Verbier Voted ‘Switzerland’s Best Ski Resort 2024’ at the World Ski Awards
After winning five titles in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023, Verbier has won the title of Best Swiss Ski Destination 2024 at the World Ski Awards for the sixth time in seven years. Thanks to a campaign mobilising its partners, local residents and destination enthusiasts, both in Switzerland and abroad, Verbier was able to win the highest number of votes among the country’s most prestigious ski resorts. In the global competition, Verbier finished on the podium alongside Kitzbühel and Val Thorens, which took the title.
‘A big thank you to everyone who supported Verbier by voting for us. This award is the fruit of the commitment and passion of many people, both local and international. We are grateful to those who, through their loyalty and enthusiasm, help to make Verbier shine every day. This victory belongs to all of them, whether they are tourists, visitors or residents.’
Simon Wiget, Verbier Tourisme Director, said; ‘It’s a huge honour to receive this national award once again, reflecting the constant efforts and significant investment we’ve made in infrastructure in recent years. This recognition represents much more than just a trophy: it recognises the hard work of everyone involved in the region and the commitment we have made to enhancing the customer experience”
Other Verbier service providers rewarded
Verbier has won the award for the best Swiss ski destination, but its partners are not to be outdone. For the ninth year running, the W Hotel Verbier was voted ‘Switzerland’s Best Ski Hotel 2024’ and ‘World’s Best Ski Hotel 2024’ at the World Ski Awards 2024.
