Unwind with a yoga retreat at Peppers Salt resort spa
Peppers Salt Resort & Spa at Kingscliff in Northern New South Wales has just announced their schedule of weekend yoga retreats for 2013 which combine yoga and meditation, wholesome cuisine and a spa treatment at The Golden Door Spa.
Designed for beginners through to experienced practitioners, the seasonal yoga retreats will take place on 8-10 February, 24-26 May, 16-18 August and 18-20 October.
The theme of each retreat varies to suit the changing needs of the seasons according to Ryoho (a form of yoga therapy combining traditional Indian Hatha poses with the meridian based healing arts of China and Japan) and a special mother and daughter yoga retreat will be held in May.
8-10 February: good digestion, weight loss, improving energy levels and kicking sugar cravings
24-26 May (Mother & Daughter Retreat): women’s health, sugar cravings, stress release and core strength
16-18 August: lower back strength, stress release and sexual energy
18-20 October: power and strength, upper back release, blood pressure and circulation and happy hearts
The retreats are being hosted by, Kris McIntyre, who is a Ryoho yoga therapist and writer and is best-known as the host of Australia’s YOGA TV.

Kris said Peppers Salt Resort & Spa’s weekend yoga retreats, which are now in their fourth year, provide a platform for attendees to get as much as they want out of the weekend.
“We’ve created a yoga escape that is approachable, both financially and in terms of accessibility of the program.
“It sits between the existing offerings of intense and often expensive health retreats and, at the other end of the scale, the alternative bunk-style yoga camps.
“Our yoga retreat is suitable for everyone including mums, hard-working professionals, singletons and couples and for those who have plenty or yoga experience or complete beginners,” Kris said.
Retreat packages include, two nights accommodation, five yoga classes with Kris McIntyre, a yoga mat, a 50-minute spa treatment at The Golden Door Spa, full buffet breakfast daily, wholesome meals including dinner on Friday and lunch and dinner on Saturday inspired by The Golden Door cook book and prepared by Peppers Salt Resort & Spa’s onsite restaurant Season, full use of resort leisure facilities and unlimited in-room movies and internet access.
Non-residential packages are available. When guests aren’t striking a pose, they can step out into nature and enjoy a network of beachside walking and bicycle tracks, unspoilt surf beaches, Peppers Salt Resort & Spa’s large sandy beach lagoon pool, or head to The Golden Door Spa for soul soothing spa treatments.
Peppers Salt Resort & Spa is located just 15 minutes from Gold Coast Airport, 60 minutes from Ballina Airport and less than 90 minutes drive from Brisbane Airport.
