Distribution services provider Travelport has launched of Travelport Mobile Agent for Worldspan.

All Travelport-connected agents around the globe using the Galileo, Apollo or Worldspan GDS platforms are now able to download Travelport Mobile Agent.

The app allows agents to access and modify bookings on-the-go via their iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch or Android devices. Since its launch in 2011, Travelport Mobile Agent has been downloaded more than 21,000 times.

Simon Ferguson, Managing Director for Travelport UK and Ireland, says “Travelport Mobile Agent ensures travel agents can be competitive in a 24/7 industry that demands highly responsive customer service.

“Since its launch in October 2011 the application has been downloaded over 1,700 times in the UK and I have no doubt that this application will be just as successful in the Worldspan regions.” Ferguson added.

Travelport Mobile Agent was developed by TTS (Travel Technology & Solutions). It is one of the first products to be made available globally as a result of the Travelport Developer Network, Travelport’s open platform allowing the developer community to showcase their solutions.
