Tennis Star Hosts Easter Tournament At La Manga Club
Feliciano Lopez, the man who ended Tim Henman’s Wimbledon career, will be hosting a charity tennis tournament at La Manga Club over the Easter weekend.
The world-number-34 has organised the event at Europe’s premier tennis destination to raise funds for relief work in Haiti and the Alda Foundation, which benefits deprived communities in Paraguay.
The tournament takes place from April 2-4 and is an open men’s individual competition. Matches will be played as the best of three sets and those losing out in the first round can still take part in a plate competition.
La Manga Club has an unrivalled tennis pedigree. The resort is a former Davis and Fed Cup venue as well as regularly hosting LTA training camps. It boasts 28 multi-surface courts and a first-class tennis academy.
Entry to the tournament costs €30 per person and competitors can enjoy the Easter weekend at La Manga Club from just €53 per person per night based on two people sharing a deluxe twin or double room in Las Lomas Village, including access to Spa La Manga Club’s pool, sauna, steam rooms and fitness centre.
