TAP Air Portugal has unveiled its new signature menu and six new top-flight chefs to show off its delicious new inflight dining options.
The new dishes include Maronesa Beef, Confit Codfish, Chickpea and Green Sauce Salad, as well as a range of sweet treats, which showcase Portugal’s fantastic regional gastronomy and TAP’s commitment to inflight dining excellence.
 
TAP’s six new chefs have been taken onboard to deliver exceptional Portuguese cuisine as part of its Local Stars initiative in partnership with The Art of Tasting Portugal.

Dishes from each of the new chefs - Arnaldo Azevedo, André Cruz, Rodrigo Castelo, Carlos Afonso, Alexandre Silva and Rui Paula - will be served to premium customers flying on TAP’s long-haul flights over the next 12 months.

“From Maronesa Beef to Confit Codfish, our premium customers on long-haul flights can look in to tasting some of the very best of Portugal’s regional dishes, created by the country’s top-flight chefs.

“Whether our customers are flying with TAP for the first time, or are frequent fliers, we want to present them with the country’s character through the depth and range of our fantastic flavoursome menus.”

TAP’s Local Stars Project, a partnership with The Art of Tasting Portugal, aims to bring the best Portuguese cuisine to the whole world, giving customers the chance to taste the star ingredients of each Portuguese region.

Each hand-selected chef will produce an exclusive menu including signature ingredients from their home region in Portugal.

Customers can enjoy these new Portuguese dishes on long-haul Business Class flights between now and April 2025.

Menus will be updated every two months, giving premium customers the opportunity to tour Portugal from the comfort of their lie-flat seat.
