Silversands Grenada to open in spring 2018

Set to open in March 2018 on the silver-white sands of Grand Anse Beach on the island’s south-western tip, Silversands Grenada is a sleek and contemporary boutique property comprising 43 suites and nine villas.

Anchored by a 100-metre pool, the longest in the Caribbean, Silversands Grenada will be defined by its offering of an unpretentious luxury experience radiating with the warmth, originality and energy of the island of Grenada.

Sophisticated in its simplicity, Silversands Grenada is the first major hotel project on Grand Anse Beach in more than 25 years.

The resort represents a radical departure from conventional Caribbean hospitality offerings, with a striking minimalist design by the stellar French design house AW2.

Drawing on 15 years of experience building hotels across the world, AW2 marries authenticity and a sense of pared-back luxury with easy-flow contemporary curated spaces, ensuring that Grenada’s lush, undiscovered surroundings remain centre stage.

Silversands Grenada will span across two main buildings off Grand Anse Beach encompassing 39 Open Plan Suites, three One-Bedroom Suites, and a generous Penthouse spanning 192 square metres.

Nine residential villas will be unobtrusively peppered into the surrounding landscape, including five spacious Beachfront Villas with direct access onto the sand, and four three-bedroom Hillside Villas with awe-inspiring views of the resort grounds and the sea.

The Silversands Spa will be striking in design and will deliver local-inspired treatments of the highest quality throughout its four treatment rooms, and will also include a sauna, hammam, chilled swimming pool and state-of-the-art gym.

“When our owner, Naguib Sawiris, first set foot on Grenada, he found a place unlike any other and longed to share it with the world.

“Firmly rooted in the culture of the island, Silversands Grenada will be a refined yet unpretentious luxury retreat that will introduce travellers to the undeniable beauty and originality of the island, and the warmth of its people,” said Christian Langlade, general manager of Silversands Grenada.

“Authentic Grenada will be a cornerstone of the resort, from its cuisine to its staff and excursions led by island-based tour operators.”

Silversands Grenada will offer a window to the last secret hideaway in the Caribbean, revealing Grenada’s originality and undiluted beauty with pristine white sand beaches, sparkling waterfalls, lush rainforests and one of the friendliest cultures in the world.
