Rotana opens first Oman property

Rotana is preparing to welcome guests to its first Oman property, Salalah Rotana Resort, which is scheduled to open on December 25th 2013.

Located on the stunning coastline with views overlooking the Arabian Ocean, Salalah Rotana Resort is a luxurious five-star resort boasting 399 rooms and suites, each furnished with modern amenities and conveniences for all guests to enjoy as well as 45 exclusive villas.

Inspired by traditional Omani architecture, it is the latest addition to Rotana’s portfolio, which features a collection of some of the most desirable properties in leading destination in the Middle East and Africa.

Key appointments for the property include Claudio Melli, a well-respected veteran of the hospitality industry with more than 20 years of experience in the business, as general manager.

Omer Kaddouri, chief operating officer, Rotana, said; “Oman has always been a key growth market for us and this is clearly reflected by our aggressive expansion plans in the country.

“The five-star Salalah Rotana Resort plays an important role in our growth strategy for the Middle East market, where we will be launching several new properties throughout the year to increase the total number of rooms under our management to over 14,500 by the end of the year.
