Driven by a commitment to ‘Make Special Happen’, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is embarking upon a significant global renovation program. Currently, an impressive twenty percent of the Fairmont portfolio is undergoing active transformation across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. This includes major redevelopment projects at both Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda and Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva in Switzerland, with both slated for reopening in Fall 2026 and 2027 respectively.

Fairmont Pacific Rim – Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada: The Wellness Club at the Forbes Five-Star Fairmont Pacific Rim is Vancouver’s premier destination for elevated self-care and holistic wellbeing. Bringing together the newly renovated Fairmont Spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center in partnership with HOUSE Concepts, Wish Dry Bar, and MedLiv Medical Clinic, the club offers a fully integrated luxury wellness experience designed for movement, recovery, nourishment, mind and longevity. The newly elevated Forbes Five-Star spa experience has the addition of a new Himalayan Salt Sauna, an intimate couples’ lounge, and elegant stone flooring throughout the space, with completion slated for end of June 2026. Reimagined as a contemporary sanctuary in the heart of Vancouver, Fairmont Spa at Fairmont Pacific Rim brings an enhanced wellness journey designed to restore balance, elevate wellbeing, and redefine luxury wellness in the city.
Fairmont Southampton – Bermuda: The iconic Fairmont Southampton has embarked on the largest renovation project in Bermuda’s history. Led by Gencom, a Miami-based investment firm and international development group, the USD $550 million redevelopment will completely reimagine the resort’s 593 guestrooms, including 44 suites and a dedicated Fairmont Gold experience. Perched along the island’s iconic South Shore, the resort offers sweeping ocean views and direct access to Bermuda’s renowned pink-sand beaches. Set to reopen in late 2026, with the Palmetto Beach Club debuting ahead of the full resort, Fairmont Southampton will usher in a new era of luxury for the island. Designed by interior architect Tori Stori, the transformed resort will introduce an entirely new food and beverage landscape, alongside the spectacular new Beach Club featuring a half-Olympic-sized resort pool, oceanfront grill and private cabanas, further cementing Southampton’s position as Bermuda’s premier oceanfront destination. A state-of-the-art Fitness Centre, more than 45,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and an award-winning 18-hole Par 3 golf course complete an offering of extraordinary depth and ambition.
The Savoy – London, United Kingdom: One of the most celebrated addresses in the world, The Savoy is undergoing an active renovation that reflects Fairmont’s commitment to preserving iconic heritage while continuously elevating the guest experience. The hotel’s restoration spans both its storied Art Deco and Edwardian wings: following the acclaimed reveal of reimagined Edwardian bedrooms and suites in 2025, the Art Deco bedrooms are set to be refreshed and revealed in Summer 2026, continuing a program of careful, considered renewal across the hotel. Each phase honors the character of this legendary address while meeting the expectations of today’s most discerning guests.

Fairmont Chateau Laurier – Ottawa, Ontario, Canada: Ottawa’s Fairmont Château Laurier continues its considered evolution. An extensive guestroom and bathroom renovation program is now underway, with model room completion targeted for July 2026 and lobby renovations set for completion in December 2026, ensuring this national landmark remains as vital as its rich history. The acclaimed Akira Back restaurant opened to guests in March 2026, bringing a bold new culinary chapter to the hotel, and this May saw the debut of Émilie’s Terrace - a new outdoor dining destination with sweeping views across Parliament Hill, the Ottawa River and the historic Rideau Canal.
Fairmont Tremblant – Mont-Tremblant, Québec, Canada: Fairmont Tremblant is completing a comprehensive guestroom renovation program, with the unveiling of a new Presidential Suite set for fall 2026. Extending over 1,200 square feet, the suite will be the most spacious guestroom at the resort, featuring a grand open-concept living space anchored by a fireplace, an elegant dining area, a master bedroom and a spa-inspired bathroom with double vanity, freestanding bathtub and oversized walk-in shower. Designed for privacy and seamless service, the suite includes a discreet enclosed pantry. The Presidential Suite debuts alongside the completion of the resort’s wider guestroom renovation, marking a significant milestone in Fairmont Tremblant’s ongoing transformation in the Laurentians.
Fairmont Waterfront – Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada: The first phase of Fairmont Waterfront’s four-year transformation is now complete, unveiling 96 renovated guest rooms that reflect the hotel’s Pure Coastal Luxury identity. Inspired by Vancouver’s natural surroundings, the redesigned spaces feature elevated amenities and finishes. Renovations will continue this fall, with future phases including additional guest rooms, the lobby, ARC Restaurant + Bar, pool patio and Fairmont Gold.
Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva – Geneva, Switzerland: One of three properties in the Fairmont portfolio currently closed for full transformation, Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva is undergoing a sweeping renovation. The restoration encompasses the building’s iconic facade with the addition of elegant loggias to rooms overlooking Lake Geneva. The entire interior is also being reimagined - including more than 400 guest rooms - bringing the various elements of this storied address together into a cohesive whole: a landmark hotel, exceptional dining, an outstanding bar and much more. Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva is set to reopen in 2027 - a definitive luxury destination for international travelers and Genevans alike.
Fairmont Le Château Frontenac – Quebec City, Quebec, Canada: Quebec City’s legendary Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is embarking on a transformative expansion of its celebrated Fairmont Gold experience. The program will add 34 new Gold guestrooms alongside a full renovation of the Gold Lounge, growing the inventory from 70 to 104 rooms. A comprehensive renovation of 203 standard guestrooms and 13 suites will deliver refined architectural finishes and entirely renewed furnishings throughout, with completion targeted for 2028.

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge – Jasper, Alberta, Canada: Originally conceived as a collection of luxury tents established on the shores of Lac Beauvert by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway in 1915, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has undergone a comprehensive, multi-phased repositioning, culminating in the reopening of its iconic main lodge in early June 2026. The transformation introduces a reimagined guest arrival experience, fully redesigned guest rooms, three new lounge and dining experiences, as well as an elevated retail destination and Adventure Concierge. Together, these enhancements redefine the 700-acre resort, which now welcomes guests to a distinctly elevated Jasper experience just in time for the summer season.

Fairmont Pittsburgh – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA: Fairmont Pittsburgh has just completed a considered refresh of its guest rooms and Health Club, further elevating the hotel’s position as the standard-bearer for luxury hospitality in downtown Pittsburgh. Guest accommodations have been thoughtfully reimagined to balance contemporary elegance with the sweeping skyline views that define the property’s setting, while the renewed Health Club has been crafted as a dedicated space for relaxation and rejuvenation. Together, these enhancements reflect Fairmont Pittsburgh’s ongoing commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience - one that has welcomed travelers to the heart of Pittsburgh’s business, cultural and entertainment districts for over 15 years.
Fairmont Orchid – Waimea, Hawaiʻi, USA: Fairmont Orchid on Hawai’i Island completed a multi-million dollar property transformation in June 2025, with the resort’s guest rooms, Fairmont Gold floor and meeting and event spaces all fully refreshed. Honoring the rich culture of the destination, the renovation draws on fluid layouts that mirror the ocean’s natural flow, color palettes inspired by the island’s landscapes, and textures rooted in traditional Hawaiian craftsmanship. The reimagined Fairmont Gold floor introduces a chic, modern Hawaiian aesthetic - offering private check-in, dedicated concierge support, locally-inspired cuisine and hors d’oeuvres at golden hour on the lanai. Building on the completion of its acclaimed full guestroom renovation, Fairmont Orchid continues its evolution with a second chapter of investment. The Kilohana meeting room is receiving a considered renovation – celebrating its iconic koa wood panels alongside a new finishing kitchen – completing in August 2026. At Brown’s Beach House, the resort’s signature oceanfront restaurant, a new signature cocktail captures the spirit of the transformation: the Mauna Kea Glow, crafted with Don Fulano Blanco Tequila, triple sec, calamansi purée and shiso syrup, finished with honey sourced from the resort’s own on-site hives.
Fairmont Kea Lani – Maui, Hawaiʻi, USA: Fairmont Kea Lani recently welcomed a significant new chapter in its dining story with the return of Kō, the resort’s celebrated signature restaurant. Reimagined under Executive Chef Matt Dela Cruz, whose family roots trace back to Hawaiʻi’s sugarcane era, Kō draws on the culinary traditions that shaped the islands, sourcing ingredients from Maui’s own farmers, fishermen and food producers. The restaurant’s refreshed space and new menu, which Chef Dela Cruz describes as “elevated comfort”, reopened late last year, alongside an entirely new cocktail program drawing on the same rich multicultural heritage.

Fairmont Winnipeg – Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada: Fairmont Winnipeg is undergoing a complete property transformation spanning all guestrooms, the lobby level, the Fairmont Gold Lounge and fitness and pool facilities. As the hotel describes it: “This is not a renovation. It is a reinvention – grounded in place, crafted with vision, and designed to celebrate the spirit of this remarkable city.” The hotel will close to guests on 1 July 2026, with reopening targeted for summer 2027.
Fairmont Beijing – Beijing, China: Fairmont Beijing will close its doors on 1 September 2026 to embark on a complete renovation, marking the beginning of a significant new chapter for one of the brand’s landmark addresses in Asia. The full scope and details of the transformation will be shared in due course, with the reopening date to be announced separately.
