Rezidor announces the Park Inn by Radisson Milan Malpensa, Italy

This November, the Grand Hotel Milan Malpensa will be transformed into the Park Inn by Radisson Milan Malpensa. The 138 rooms-property is 10 minutes from Milan Malpensa Airport (a convenient shuttle bus is available), and has excellent access to nearby businesses and Milan’s exhibition centers.

“We are delighted to bring our dynamic mid-market brand Park Inn by Radisson to Italy. We also further strengthen our position as one of Europe’s largest airport hotel operators – with now over 8,400 rooms in operation and under development, and a portfolio which includes major hubs like London Heathrow, Amsterdam Schiphol and Frankfurt”, said Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor.

“I’m very honored to take part in this great project. The first Italian Park Inn by Radisson hotel will offer high standards. Customers will be interested in staying at our hotel – for two main reasons: The important and well known brand, and the closeness to the international airport of Milan Malpensa”, said Luigi Simari, owner of the hotel.

Milan Malpensa is the second busiest airport in Italy behind Rome and among the top 25 airports in Europe. Besides servicing corporate and leisure travelers visiting Milan, the airport is also the gateway to the resort destinations of the Italian Alps.

The Park Inn by Radisson Milan Malpensa underwent a full renovation and re-opened in May 2011. Besides 138 guest rooms, it features a restaurant and bar, 2 meeting halls, a gym, and a business centre.

Park Inn by Radisson focuses on reliability, personalized services and great value for money. The innovative mid-market brand was launched in early 2003 and comprises today 150 hotels in operation and under development across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Rezidor concentrates on a future brand development on major travel hubs, such as highly visible train stations and airports where strong performance levels can be achieved.
