PATA appoints new CFO

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has confirmed Pairoj Kiatthunsamai will take over as chief financial officer at the organisation at the end of this month.

Pairoj, a Thai national, will work at the association’s headquarters in Bangkok and will be responsible for all financial and fiscal management of PATA and the PATA Foundation.

He will provide leadership and coordination for the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting work of PATA.

Before joining PATA, Pairoj was assistant vice president (financial planning and analysis) at Generali Insurance, Thailand.

He supported the executive management team on business strategy and acted as key member of the finance and actuarial team.

He was responsible for annual finance planning and budgeting and was project manager for re-engineering processes within the finance and legal department.

Prior to this, Pairoj was controllership manager for New Hampshire Insurance Company and auditor for KPMG Phoomchai Audit in Thailand.

“Pairoj has excellent qualifications for the PATA post, more importantly he has a next-gen mindset and an ambition to make a difference in the revitalised PATA that we are all participating in,” said PATA chief executive Martin Craigs.

“At the same time, everyone at PATA would like to thank outgoing chief financial officer Nora Khamsai for her dedication and professionalism over the last three years while the association went through an important restructuring phase.”
