New European leadership for LATAM Airlines Group
LATAM Airlines Group, the leading airline Group in South America, has appointed Gonzalo Salinas Pereira as its new European airport manager.
The 34 year old Chilean-born studied commercial aviation engineering at the Federico Santa Maria Technical University in Chile and has spent his whole working career within LATAM Airlines Group.
Since 2011, Salinas worked as cabin crew director at LAN Express, before which he was the operations manager for LAN Airlines’ network of Chilean airports.
With broad experience in operations, team and project management, in his new role Salinas will coordinate LATAM Airlines Group’s operations across the five main European airports in which LAN and TAM operate.
Currently these airports are London Heathrow (seven weekly flights), Madrid Barajas (24 weekly flights), Frankfurt (14 weekly flights), Paris Charles de Gaulle (seven weekly flights) and Milan Malpensa (seven weekly flights).

Over the next year, LATAM Airlines Group will also increase its European airport network with the launch of a new flight route between Barcelona and Sao Paulo.
