National Express: c2c winning streak continues

National Express train operator c2c has once again topped the table for train punctuality - and matched its own UK record for the number of trains on time. In the four weeks ending 18th August, which includes the entire duration of the Olympic Games, 97.4% of c2c trains were on time - more than any other train operator in the country. Across the last year 97.1% of c2c trains were on time, matching the all-time UK record which is also held by c2c - and was set only last month!

c2c Managing Director Julian Drury said: “I’m really proud our record-breaking winning streak continues. Our passengers are enjoying the most punctual rail service that any train company has ever delivered in the UK - and we’ve managed to continue our high standards even through perhaps our busiest period-ever with the challenges posed by the Olympic Games.”

The latest punctuality figures are from the Public Performance Measure, the official rail industry measure for train punctuality which was released by Network Rail.
