Morocco’s L’Amphitrite Palace prepares to upgrade

Sitting majestically in manicured gardens, with its private Atlantic Ocean beachfront being one of the most picturesque in Morocco, L’Amphitrite Palace has provided a luxuriously isolated retreat for those in the know over the past decade. Remote, but easily accessible, its convenient proximity to Casablanca - 50 minutes, and Rabat - 30 minutes, makes its location an entrée to the best of both worlds. Both Casablanca and Rabat have international airports.

The task of tangibly refreshing this grand property has been given to Madrid-based Euroamykasa. For several months, they studied the ways in which the hotel could be enhanced, with guest comfort and understated elegance at the top of the priorities.

Working closely with the renowned Relais de Paris Groupe, creative dining experiences and concepts are also planned for the property, with some enhancements and rationalizations already being introduced.

All the while, specialized training programs are in place, together with the enrichment of guest amenities and services. “We have only 178 keys ranging from the luxurious Royal Villa to very generously-sized guestrooms and suites, so we have the unique potential to give every guest the level of service that would be expected from a palace,” said L’Amphitrite Managing Director for Morocco, Giorgio Bagnasco. “Our enthusiastic team, with one of the highest guest-to-staff ratios in the country, will allow us to give real distinction to the product.”

With the impending refurbishment, services such as Concierge and Guest Relations will be expanded to address the wider demographics of visitors. Traditional market sources are being augmented by the opening up of new markets, as the alternatives to Marocco’s more well-known destinations are being discovered. Those older destinations can be included on an itinerary based at L’Amphitrite Palace making them still very accessible, with Marrakech and Fes each being around a three-hour drive. The Concierge will arrange day or overnight trips with style.

Very close to home, in fact within thirty minutes of L’Amphitrite Palace, guests wishing to play a round or two will find four golf courses, including the prestigious Royal Golf Dar Essalam.

Arrival at L’Amphitrite Palace has always been a very special experience. That elegant mix of heritage ambience blended with rich furnishings, and together with a dedicated staff combine to create an unforgettable welcome and the promise of a memorable stay. It is in the process of becoming even more so.
