Montgomery takes up sales leadership role with Kimpton Lorien Hotel

Kimpton Lorien Hotel & Spa in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia has announced the appointment of Jennifer Montgomery as director of sales and marketing.

With nearly 30 years of hospitality experience, Montgomery will oversee the hotel’s dedicated sales and catering team, providing leadership and support for all sales and marketing activities.

The 107-room boutique hotel Kimpton Lorien Hotel & Spa is known for its beautiful design, convenient location and excellent guest experience.

In her new role, Montgomery will supervise the hotel’s dedicated sales team across all market segments as well as its catering team, which flawlessly executes weddings, meetings and events of up to 125 guests throughout the hotel’s 5,600 square feet of function space in partnership with its award-wining French and European restaurant, BRABO.

In addition to providing council to the sales teams, Montgomery’s day to day will consist of planning and implementing strategies for all group, transient and leisure business segments, revenue, digital marketing, advertising and public relations efforts for the Old Town Alexandria hotel.

A Kimpton veteran, Montgomery joins Kimpton Lorien Hotel & Spa’s executive team from Kimpton’s Carlyle Hotel Dupont Circle and Glover Park Hotel in Washington, DC where she was most recently the opening associate director of sales for both hotels.

Montgomery managed the hotels’ combined sales team and proactively sold across market segments, cultivating new and longstanding relationships with clients as well as building awareness for the two newly opened downtown Washington hotels.
