Menzies Hotels appoints Ractliffe as sales director

Tracey Ractliffe has been appointed sales director for Menzies Hotels, the 16 strong collection of hotels across the UK.

In the new role, Ractliffe will be responsible for driving sales across the portfolio of hotels, from the historic Menzies Welcombe Hotel, Spa & Golf Club and Menzies Carlton in Bournemouth to city centre properties including Menzies Glasgow Hotel and Menzies Mickleover Court in Derby.

She joins Menzies from Heythrop Park Resort where she was director of sales & revenue and responsible for launching the £50 million Crowne Plaza as well as overseeing the hotel’s position as a leader in the meetings and event market.

Prior to this, Ractliffe worked at Principal Haley as group director of sales development.

Tracey Ractliffe, sales director, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to drive awareness and business to Menzies Hotels.

“The groups hotels are in great locations and offer excellent service levels with fantastic facilities, I am delighted to be able to drive the awareness of these forward, not just as individual hotels but under the Menzies Hotels banner.”

She joins Menzies Hotels as the company begins to roll out an extensive refurbishment programme that includes its conference and event spaces.

Based from the group’s Derby head office, she will oversee increasing the revenues and enquiries for all sectors, particularly meetings and events along with corporate and leisure accommodation.

Tim Penter, chief executive Menzies Hotels, said: “Tracey brings a wealth of experience to Menzies Hotels; a proven record in the hotel sector and a strong understanding of the meeting and events market which is key for the group going forward.

“We are delighted to have a well respected and known sales professional join us as we enter an exciting time in the company’s development.”
