Martinique boosts ties with Caribbean Tourism Organisation
The island of Martinique has taken concrete initiatives to increase its participation in the activities of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation.
CTO secretary general, Hugh Riley, earlier met with the highest local authority, Serge Letchimy, president of the Martinique Regional Council to discuss the moves.
Following the meeting, he presented the benefits and services provided by the CTO to an audience of interested representatives from both the private and public sectors.
Karine Roy-Camille, tourism commissioner of Martinique, facilitated the successful meeting.
“The Caribbean Tourism Organisation offers great tools, and it is our duty to take advantage of those opportunities,” explained Roy-Camille.
“We want to have stronger ties and relationships with our neighbours, develop inter-island transportation, benefit from new emerging markets, provide quality training and together deliver a service of excellence and total visitor satisfaction.
“CTO is a most valuable partner to achieve those goals.”
All of those involved are looking forward to more fruitful actions in the future.
