Mandarin Oriental, Paris unveils spacious and luxurious suites

Mandarin Oriental, Paris is delighted to introduce 39 beautiful and elegant suites, including seven duplex suites located on the seventh and eighth floors of the hotel, each with their own distinctive charm and private terraces with spectacular views of the rooftops and monuments of Paris. Guests who book the hotel’s Suite Temptations package for three consecutive suite nights can enjoy a complimentary fourth night, plus a host of additional benefits.

The seven duplex suites include the Royale Mandarin Suite, Royale Orientale Suite, Cabochons Suite, Broderies de Cristal Suite, Couture Suites and Atelier Suites.  The top floor suites and the Royale Orientale Suite can be connected through adjoining doors to form the largest suite in Paris, at almost 1,000 square metres.

French interior designer Sybille de Margerie has designed each suite in a quintessential Parisian, haute-couture style with vibrant and elegant tones, understated lines and refined, opulent materials. Oriental influences are skillfully woven throughout.

The 350 square-metre Royale Mandarin Suite is split over two floors with a stunning panoramic view of the entire city. The suite has views of Montmartre, the Garnier Opera, the Grand Palais, the Louvre and the Madeleine.  Sybille de Margerie has used a palette of gold, white, beige and plum complemented by gilded oak, marble, lacquer, velvets and silk to create a distinctly 1930s feel. As with the rest of the hotel’s luxurious accommodation, no detail has been overlooked. The suite features bespoke artwork including a beautifully embroidered headboard by Lesage featuring Man Ray’s Neck, a work of art that took some 650 hours to complete. Gold cabochons are scattered across the bathroom floor and the oversized bath looks out onto the glittering Eiffel Tower.  The suite also comes with a stunning terrace overlooking the Garnier Opera, where private dinners or drinks can be arranged.

On the highest floors are the original Atelier suites, each one individual in layout and distinctive in design.  Decorated in shades of ecru, coral and plum, they represent authentic Parisian pieds-a-terre’s and provide a luxury retreat away from the city, with windows opening onto the rooftops of Paris.

West pays homage to East in the Royale Orientale Suite with a combination of white, beige, black and green shades and lacquer, velvet and ebony with marble that is etched with illustrations showing the journey from Paris to the Orient.  Nature motifs run throughout the suite, including hand-painted crocodiles on the bar and Asian-inspired floral patterns on the drapes.

The Cabochons Suite encapsulates haute couture and style with striking orange and copper shades, and fabrics and textures straight from a fashion atelier, and fashion photography lining the walls.

Silks, pearls and sequins adorn the Broderies de Cristal suite, capturing the romance of the city while creating an intimate Parisian apartment with fabulous views of the Opera and Montmartre.

True to their name, the Couture suites are beautifully stylish, and include the Broderies de Perles, Coromandel and Arabesque suites, all with very special, bespoke Lesage embroidery in silk, pearls, crystals and sequins.

Guests can now experience the most romantic city in the world in the height of luxury by booking the hotel’s enticing Suite Temptations package.
