Little impact following easyJet strike

Little impact following easyJet strike

A walkout by easyJet cabin crew based across France appears to be having little impact, with the carrier operating all departures as planned.

As many as 500 cabin crew based at Paris Charles de Gaulle, Paris Orly and Lyon Airports walked out earlier today.

Crew are protesting against what they perceive to be unfair payments for absence following a workplace accident or due to sickness.

Easyjet said it planned “to operate all flights” and would continue “do everything possible to minimise the impact” of the strike.

Crew are expected to return to work at midnight on Wednesday.

French aviation union UNAC said easyJet crew receive only 45 per cent of their wages if absent.
